Accused Metal Thieves May Accept Plea Bargains
Two Hellertown men who stand accused of stealing large amounts of copper will reportedly plead guilty to some of the charges they now face, in exchange for plea deals.

Two Hellertown men who were allegedly involved in a conspiracy that involved stealing tens of thousands of dollars worth of copper and other metals from area businesses may accept plea bargains, according to a story published by the Express-Times.
The newspaper article indicated that Corey Merwarth, 34, and Michael Ridgick, 32, waived preliminary hearings Wednesday as part of the proposed arrangement, which is also expected to involve restitution payments.
