My new liver, the donor and her family, many dedicated surgeons and doctors, hospital staff at St. Luke’s in Bethlehem, University of Pennsylvania and Jefferson–Einstein hospitals, EMTs, friends and family and, of course, God.

They ALL gave me a second chance to live. I was hospitalized from August 18, 2024, through April 2, 2025, for liver and kidney failure. If it weren't for their kindness, support, selflessness and dedication, I would not be alive. I had several very close brushes with death. In fact, many say it is a miracle that I survived. I am a warrior! I am alive! I am thankful and blessed! I will always thank them, whether personally or in prayer.

How has this made a difference in your 2025?

I AM ALIVE! That says it all.

What do you wish others knew about what you’re thankful for?

Take care of your body and your health. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. Face your demons straight in the eye and say, very confidently, YOU ARE NOT GOING TO WIN! I AM! And I did. And I'm back stronger than ever thanks to help, support, and love from many.
