Annual Community Day Will Return on Aug. 17 [Letter]

Dear Hellertown-Lower Saucon residents:

A heart-felt thank you is in order! I have been selected by the Hellertown-Lower Saucon Community Day Committee as the newest chair of the group. No worries Hellertown and Lower Saucon residents, Craig Medei will continue to serve on the committee and be the voice of Community Day; the day would not be the same without him. With my deepest gratitude I recognize the size of the footsteps that I must fill, literally and metaphorically! Craig Medei and the committee have paved a path of success for this event and I plan on continuing this tradition. We will continue to provide the Hellertown-Lower Saucon residents, businesses and nonprofit organizations a venue to come together as a community and showcase their goods and services with each other and surrounding residents.

The 12th annual Community Day will take place at Dimmick Park on Saturday, Aug. 17, 2013. Festivities will begin at 10 a.m. with an opening ceremony. Dozens of Saucon Valley’s businesses and civic groups, children’s activities, freebies, lots of food, dancing, live music and a car show are a few of the day's happenings. Please keep your eyes open for our new Facebook page.
