Big Book Sale Opens: Thursday in Saucon Valley

10 a.m., Carmike's Summer Movie Series for Kids continues with a screening of "Happy Feet 2" at the Promenade Shops at Saucon Valley cineplex, 2845 Center Valley Parkway, Center Valley. For $4, receive admission, a children's size popcorn, a drink and candy.
10 a.m. to 2 p.m., State Rep. Bob Freeman (D-136) Monthly Office Hours at Hellertown Borough Hall, 685 Main St., Hellertown. Share questions and concerns with your state legislator.
5 p.m., Hellertown Area Library 3rd Annual Book Sale Preview Night, Saucon Valley High School cafeteria, 2097 Polk Valley Road, Hellertown. A $5 donation will get you admitted to the book sale early. Proceeds benefit the friends of the Hellertown Area Library. The book sale continues Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Browse through more than 4,000 books, movies and recordings.
