Borough Leaf Collection Schedule Announced

Hellertown Borough has posted a day-by-day leaf collection schedule for residents on the borough's website.

This week, public works employees are collecting leaves in the Mountainview neighborhood.

For example, on Tuesday, leaf pickup was scheduled along Birch Road, Juniper Road and Locust Road.

There will not be a collection on Monday because of the Veterans Day holiday.

Pickup will resume on Tuesday along Ellen Street, Spruce Street, Henry Street, Cherry Street and New Street.

According to the posted schedule—which is subject to change—weekday leaf pickup will continue through Thursday, Dec. 19 (except on Thanksgiving Day and Friday, Nov. 29).

Residents are being asked to use off-street parking on the day of their street's scheduled collection.

Leaves should be raked into the gutter before the scheduled pickup week and should separated from brush, which will not be picked up with the leaf machine.
