Borough Man Allegedly Threatened Mom's Life

According to court records, Zachery Tyler Duffy, 19, of Whitaker Street, Hellertown, allegedly threatened his mother Saturday.

A Hellertown man who allegedly threatened to kill his mother after she found packets of heroin in his dresser was jailed on Saturday, according to court records.

Zachery Tyler Duffy, 19, of 1395 Whitaker St., was charged with heroin possession, possession of drug paraphernalia and terroristic threats on Saturday.

Borough police responded to the Whitaker Street home during the afternoon when Duffy’s mother, Christine Martin, reported that her son sent her several text messages threatening to kill her and was using heroin.

Duffy was picked up later in the day and arraigned before on-duty District Judge Roy Manwaring in Bethlehem. He was committed to Northampton County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.
