Borough Seeks Stand-By Snow Plow Drivers

The Borough of Hellertown is accepting applications for stand-by winter equipment maintenance operators to assist Public Works Department employees in plowing snow.

So far it hasn't snowed much this winter, but there's still quite a bit of winter left to go.

Snow plow drivers are likely hoping for lots more of the white stuff to fall, and Hellertown officials are apparently hoping independent snow plow operators will apply to help the borough's Public Works Department with road maintenance in the event of a significant snowstorm.

To that end, on its website the borough has announced that it is creating a stand-by, call-out list for drivers to assist the Public Works Department with snow plowing.
