Boy Threw 'Chew Spit' Bottle at Home, Police Say
Lower Saucon Township police say Michael Fye and a 16-year-old boy have been charged following a Feb. 22 incident that began when the boy allegedly threw a water bottle containing "chew spit" at a house in the 2000 block of Saucon Avenue.

Lower Saucon Township police have announced charges against a man and a 16-year-old boy who were allegedly involved in a Feb. 22 incident outside a home in the 2000 block of Saucon Avenue, which is in the Steel City section of the township.
Police said in a press release that the incident began in the early afternoon, when the boy "was observed throwing a water bottle containing chew spit at the house...which is his uncle's house."
According to police, Fye, who was a passenger in the boy's vehicle at the time, is the son of the homeowner's ex-wife.

While police were questioning the boy as part of their investigation, they say Fye "separated in his own vehicle" and returned to the Saucon Avenue home, where he allegedly stopped his truck, put it in reverse "and burned out before speeding off."
Police said that two girls who had just gotten off a school bus were standing at the roadside when Fye performed this maneuver.

Fye has been charged with recklessly endangering another, reckless driving, harassment and disorderly conduct, police said.
The juvenile male who allegedly threw the chew spit has been charged with harassment, disorderly conduct and littering.
Police added that the boy was allegedly skipping school when the incident occurred, and that the absence was his tenth consecutive unexcused absence from .
The high school "will be charging (him) with truancy violations," police said.
