Conviction Upheld for L. Saucon Man Who Threatened Elem. School Shooting

Anthony Elonis of Lower Saucon Township was convicted on federal charges after threatening to blow up Dorney Park and carry out a shooting at a local elementary school.

The Third Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals last week upheld a Lower Saucon Township man's conviction on federal charges that resulted from threats he posted on Facebook using the pseudonym "Tone Dougie," a story published by the Express-Times indicated.

According to the article, 30-year-old Anthony Elonis—who is serving a nearly four-year prison sentence—was found guilty of violating the interstate communications law after he threatened to carry out an elementary school shooting, slit an FBI agent's throat and blow up Dorney Park, where he was a former employee.
