Distracted Driver Ran Over Mailbox, Police Say
Lower Saucon Township Police say David Andrew Palumbo, of Tulpe Way, Riegelsville, drove across a yard and over a mailbox along Apple Tree Lane.
A Riegelsville man was charged with leaving his lane of travel, after Lower Saucon Township Police say he drove through a front yard and ran over a mailbox along Apple Tree Lane.
According to police, David Andrew Palumbo, of the 1800 block of Tulpe Way, drove off the road at about 1:20 a.m. June 13.
"Palumbo stated to police that he was distracted and took his eyes off the road," police said in a news release.
Police added that Palumbo was also cited for operating a vehicle with a junior driver's license "after hours."
