District Announces 'iPads and Sports' Options

The options are for students with iPads who are involved in after-school activities in the Saucon Valley School District.

The Saucon Valley School District recently announced the implementation of options that will make it easier for students with iPads to secure them while they're involved in afterschool activities, such as sports.

All Saucon Valley Middle School currently have iPads, as part of the first phase of the district's 1:1 technology initiative.

The iPads and Sports options are for students who are "involved in after school activities in which they do not want to carry their iPads," an announcement from the district indicated.

If students opt to leave their iPad at school while they are engaged in an afterschool activity, it is to be stored on the top shelf of their locker, which is now known as the "Electronic Shelf," the announcement said.

Students will have limited access to their lockers after school in order to retrieve their devices when they return from games or practices.
