Drunken Man Pounded on Windows, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police say Randy Bond, 44, of the 3200 block of Bingen Road, ran away after allegedly pounding on windows at his home while intoxicated.

A Lower Saucon Township man was charged with public drunkenness after he allegedly pounded on windows because he was locked out of his home, police said.

In a news release, police said Randy Bond, 44, of the 3200 block of Bingen Road, became upset when his mother paid for his taxi ride home.

After he became upset, she locked herself inside and made a 911 "hang-up" call, which summoned authorities to the home, police said.

Bond, who allegedly pounded on the windows of the house while he was locked outside, "went running off" when police arrived, according to the press release.

After the home's backyard was searched, he was found "crashed into bushes and unconscious," police said.

Bond's mother told officers her son was "clearly intoxicated" and he was taken to St. Luke's University Hospital for treatment, police added.
