Elf to Help Santa at Hellertown's Light-Up Night

Hellertown borough councilman Mike McKenna reported Monday that a local resident plans to help Santa at the borough's annual Light-Up Night Nov. 29...as an elf.

McKenna didn't name the man, but said he's very enthusiastic about being an elf.

"He's got the outfit and everything," he said.

Other council members affirmed the elf will be welcome.

Light-Up Night, which is held at Detwiller Plaza and across the street next to Borough Hall, will begin at 6 p.m.

One of the highlights of the annual holiday kickoff is Santa's arrival via Dewey firetruck.
