The Appalachian Fiddle & Bluegrass Association (AFBA) hosts monthly Bluegrass Shindigs (jam sessions) at the , 1984 Waldheim Road, Hellertown, on the second Sunday of each month from October through April. Doors open at 10am and shows featuring regional bands begin at 12:30pm. Players of all skill levels are welcome to attend. Admission is $7 for adults; $6 for members; and free for children under 13.
