Eagles Super Bowl Odds: Birds Uphill Quest For A Repeat
A stacked NFL playoff field could go in any direction this year.

PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Eagles begin their defense of their Super Bowl championship on Sunday when they take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs.
They're minus 4.5 point favorites to beat San Francisco and continue on to the second round, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. And they remain among the favorites to win it all this season, but they're not alone.
The 2025 season saw tremendous parity in both the AFC and the NFC, with just a game or two separating the one seeds from the six seeds and many playoff matchups not set until the final regular season game was over.

That's reflected in the odds for Super Bowl 60, which has several teams crowding round the top for honors of the betting favorite.
The Eagles have plus 800 odds to win the big game, according to FanDuel Sportsbook. That gives them the fourth best odds overall.

Here's a glance at how bettors see the playoff landscape this year:
- Seattle Seahawks: +390
- Los Angeles Rams: +440
- Denver Broncos +650
- Philadelphia Eagles +800
- New England Patriots +1000
- Buffalo Bills +1000
- Houston Texans +1100
- Jacksonville Jaguars +1300
- Green Bay Packers +1800
- Chicago Bears +2000
- Los Angeles Chargers +3000
- San Francisco 49ers +3000
- Pittsburgh Steelers +5000
- Carolina Panthers +22500
There are a few surprises here. A pair of 14-3 squads, the Broncos and the Patriots, probably deserve more respect. Same goes for the two seed in the NFC, the Chicago Bears, who plummeted all the way to 10th.
But gambling odds are a reflection both of team recognition and popularity as well as what bettors believe will make them the most money. It's not necessarily a reflection of a ranking or likelihood of winning, though it is usually treated that way.
For the Eagles, this is actually a familiar position. Heading into the opening round last year, they had the fifth best odds to win it all, at plus 700. And everyone knows how that turned out.
The Birds will host the Niners on Sunday, Jan. 11 at 4:30 p.m. at Lincoln Financial Field in south Philadelphia. The game will be broadcast on Fox and on 94WIP sports radio.
Super Bowl 60 will be held on Sunday, Feb. 8 at the 49ers home, Levi's Stadium, in Santa Clara, California.
