NOTE: An extra day for Christmas tree drop-offs has been scheduled, in light of the fact that the compost center was closed on Saturday, Jan. 21 due to inclement weather. The center will be open on Saturday, Feb. 4 as a "make-up day."
The Saucon Valley Compost Center at 2011 Springtown Hill Road in Lower Saucon Township will be open to local residents on a limited basis this winter for the drop-off of Christmas trees and other yard waste, officials announced recently.
The compost center will be open from 9am to 1pm for the drop-off of Christmas trees, leaves and brush on the following Saturdays: Jan. 28 and Feb. 4.

The facility is open to residents of both Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township.
