River Stories Forum at Nurture Nature Center

From: Commonwealth of PA, Department of Conservation and Natural Resources

Staff at Delaware Canal State Park will partner with the Nurture Nature Center to hold an open mic storytelling event at 7pm on Thursday, Dec. 1 at the Nurture Nature Center, 518 Northampton St., Easton. This is the final forum in a series celebrating the Delaware River’s designation as 2011 PA River of the Year.

The Delaware River basin is home to approximately 7.5 million people, and provides drinking water to 10 million more. The river ties together four states, two major metropolitan areas, and countless smaller cities and towns. For those who live and work along its banks, the Delaware’s waters can be a source of solace and wonder as well as source of frustration and destruction. This forum will provide an opportunity to share personal stories about the river and its effect on those who live near its waters.
