The Voice of the Valley, an acoustic performer contest to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, will be held Sunday, May 20, 2012, from 4 to 7:30pm at Pitchers Bar & Grille, 570 Union Blvd., Allentown.
Space is limited to 20 contestants, and there is a $50 registration fee per performer/group. The deadline to register is Friday, May 11. To register online, visit http://www.thevoicelehighvalley.com/register.pdf.
The winner of the contest will receive a 40-minute set at Muskifest's Lyrikplatz stage, an opening set at Listen Live Music (time and date TBD), studio time to record a 4-song EP (courtesy of Dan's House) and one month of coaching (courtesy of The Lesson Center). The top 3 contest finishers will perform at The Big Blowout Harmonica Festival at Starters Clubhouse Grille in Bethlehem June 3, where final judging will take place and the winner of Voice of the Valley will be announced.

Admission to Voice of the Valley will be $7 at the door (kids 12 and under free). All proceeds will benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
