First prize at the Saucon Valley Farmers' Market's annual Cabbage Fest Sunday was awarded to St. Stephen's Hungarian Strudel for their cabbage strudel.

The Saucon Valley Farmers' Market's annual Cabbage Fest Sunday was a hit with both participants and taste testers.

Farmers' market chairperson Shelley Goldberg helped to keep the mood green and leafy by donning a custom-made cabbage costume for the special occasion.

Prizes were awarded to the top finishers in a cabbage recipe contest that featured more than a dozen unique and tasty entries.

First prize was awarded to St. Stephen's Hungarian Strudel for their cabbage strudel.

The farmers' market is held Sundays from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Hellertown's Water Street Park, and often hosts special events.
