Frederick G. Koehler Jr., 84, Formerly of L. Saucon [Obituary]

Frederick G. Koehler Jr., 84, formerly of Lower Saucon Township, died Thursday, Oct. 3, 2013 at Westminster Village, Allentown. He was the husband of Concetta A. "Connie" (Nolfa) Koehler. He was born in Fountain Hill on Oct. 31, 1928 to the late Frederick G. Sr. and Margaret (Green) Koehler. Fred worked at Universal Concrete, Bethlehem, along with his late father for many years, and also worked for 12 years at the Bethlehem Steel Co. He served his country honorably during the Korean War in the U.S. Army. Fred was a member of Friedens Evangelical Lutheran Church, Center Valley, and Saucon Lodge #469, F & A.M., Coopersburg for 50 years.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife of 47 years; children: Dennis G. Koehler (Sally Ann) of Bethlehem, Glenn D. Koehler Sr. (Janene) of Hellertown, Michelle L. Chavar (Frank) of Hellertown; sister: Lorraine Keiper of Bethlehem; grandchildren: Joseph Chavar, Jennifer Hedmeck and Glenn Koehler Jr. Frederick will also be survived by his first great-grandson, Lucas Hedmeck, whose birth is impending. He was predeceased by a sister: Margaret Beck. 

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to attend a memorial service at his church, 2451 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley, on Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. There will be no calling hours.
