Gerald A. Landis died Sunday, June 30, 2013.

Gerald A. Landis, 86, of Bethlehem, died Sunday, June 30, 2013 at VNA Hospice of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of Clara M. (Dotter). He was born in Bethlehem on July 3, 1926 to the late John K.B. and Florence (Fehnel) Landis. He was a 1944 graduate of Liberty High School. Gerald served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during WWII, serving aboard the U.S.S. Drew in the Philippines and Okinawa, and aboard the U.S.S. Little Rock in Europe during the Cold War. He worked in the mechanical department of Acme Markets for 28 years, and later he worked in plant maintenance at Country Miss Inc., Stockertown for eight years. Gerald was a lifelong Phillies fan and enjoyed working around the house during retirement.

SURVIVORS

In addition to his loving wife; son: Kerry Landis of Hellertown; sister: Barbara Mehoe of Charlottesville, Va.; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a daughter, Christine Landis, and a brother, Harold.
