With an 11-3 victory over rival Freemansburg Sunday at East End Field, Dimmick Park, Hellertown’s Senior Legion Baseball team captured its first NORCO Southern Division Championship since 2001. A playoff berth and the division championship came down to the 20th and final game of the regular season for both teams.

Freemansburg took the early lead in the second inning, scoring an unearned run. However, Hellertown quickly turned the tide with a seven runs in the bottom of the third. Nick Johns went the distance on the mound for Hellertown with seven strong innings, while at the plate Joe Schuyler was 3-4. Ryan Kern, Nate Harka, Zach Thatcher and Gabe Sinko each had two hits.
