Yurasits "was the first magician ever to make a live 1,600 pound cow disappear in an original illusion in front of a live audience of over 1,000 people," according to his website.

The show was well-attended, with 51 adults and children recording their names on a sign-in sheet, library staff member Lani Hahn reported.

"The kids loved it," Hahn said. "(Yurasits) is super funny...so it was a really great show."

She added that several of his tricks related to dreams, since the library is encouraging young people to "Dream Big--Read!" with its current reading campaign.

Yurasits also pulled a rabbit out of a hat, performed a coin trick and turned four pieces of string into one, Hahn said.

Perhaps the best thing about the show was the way in which the magician involved the children who were in the audience in his act, she noted.

"He let the kids interact with him, which was great. They really enjoyed that," Hahn said.
