Hellertown Library Planning 5K Run/Walk

The will sponsor a 5K Run/Walk in the borough and Lower Saucon Township on Saturday, Sept. 29, 2012, Library Director Robin Rotherham told Hellertown Borough Council Aug. 6.

Rotherham said the Get Bookin' 5K will be a fundraiser for the library, where it will begin and end in the parking lot.

Registration will begin at 8am and the run/walk will start at 9am on race day.

"We expect 50 to 75 people, hopefully more," Rotherham said.

She explained that volunteers are helping to organize the race.

Those volunteers will be stationed along the route on the day of the run/walk.

Council unanimously approved a motion to permit the event to take place in the borough.
