Hellertown Pool Opens Saturday for Summer Season

The Hellertown Community Pool will open for the 2012 season on Saturday, June 16 at noon. Also opening will be the pool's new aquatic play area, also known as a splash pad.

Are you ready for some swimming, Saucon Valley?

The employees at the are hopefully ready for the 2012 swim season to start, now that the pool's opening is just a day away.

Also opening on Saturday will be --an aquatic play area for young children that .

The splash pad, which has been planned for years, will feature underground jets that intermittently squirt streams of water into the air.

This summer the Hellertown Pool will be open daily (weather permitting), from noon to 7pm, through Aug. 26.

Daily admission rates are as follows:

Adult - $5

Youth (ages 3 to 17) - $4

Child (under the age of 3) - FREE

Reduced evening admission rates are available after 4pm.

Information about 2012 resident and non-resident rates for season passes is available on the Hellertown Borough website.

Advanced season ticket sales will take place at the pool office on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 1 to 3pm.
