Is Friday Night Trick-or-Treat a Good Idea?
Do you prefer Trick-or-Treat on the Friday before Oct. 31, on a Sunday afternoon or on Halloween night?

It's been several years since Trick-or-Treat in Hellertown and Lower Saucon Township was held on a Sunday afternoon, as it traditionally was until some residents of the borough told local officials they were being inundated with out-of-town Trick-or-Treaters.
The problem occurred because Bethlehem schedules its Trick-or-Treat on the Friday before Halloween (Oct. 31), and some kids from the city were going door-to-door for candy in the borough two days after their own Trick-or-Treat was held.
This year, Trick-or-Treat in the city of Bethlehem, Hellertown borough, Lower Saucon Township and many other Lehigh Valley municipalities will be held on Friday, Oct. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m.
On Patch's Facebook page, however, a number of Saucon Valley residents have said they miss the old day and time, while others have argued that Trick-or-Treat should be held on Oct. 31—regardless of which day of the week that date falls on.
