Joseph C. Koller, 85, Worked at Bethlehem Steel for 45 Years

Joseph C. Koller, 85, of Lower Saucon Township died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township.

Joseph C. Koller, 85, of Lower Saucon Township died Tuesday, Oct. 29, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke's, Lower Saucon Township. He was the husband of the late Frances G. (Sufrich) Koller, who died Dec. 17, 2006. He was born in Lower Saucon Township on Sept. 18, 1928 to the late Yonas J. and Emma M. (Yonney) Koller. He served our country faithfully in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Joseph worked as a crane operator at the No. 2 Machine Shop, Bethlehem Steel for 45 years until retiring in 1990. He was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

Children: Joseph C. and his wife Elizabeth M., Charles E. and his wife Rita-Anne all of Allentown, Michael J. and his wife Cathy of Portage, Ind., James G. and his wife Joann M. of Bethlehem; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by siblings: Helen M., Hilda E. Reinsmith, Victor W.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 31, 2013 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11 a.m. The interment will conclude services at Union Cemetery of Hellertown.
