Local Resident Earns 'U.S. Marine' Title

Elisabeth Delmore recently earned the title of United States Marine. Elisabeth graduated on Friday, March 9, 2012 from the Marine Corps Recruit Depot in Parris Island, S.C.

During the intense 13-week recruit training, Elisabeth was assigned to Company N Platoon 4006. While there she earned Sharpshooter in rifle and was also meritoriously promoted to Private First Class for outstanding performance overall. This is an honor only earned by a few elite recruits in each platoon.  

Elisabeth will next be reporting to Camp Lejeune, N.C. for Marine Combat Training.

PFC Delmore is the daughter of and Vicki Delmore of Hellertown and of . We wish her the best of luck in her new career.
