UPDATE: Lower Saucon Water Main Break Forces Boil Water Advisory, Traffic Reopens
Lower Saucon Authority has issued a boil water advisory for parts of Lower Saucon Township.

A water main break forced a road closure and a boil water advisory in Lower Saucon Township, according to authorities.
According to the Lower Saucon Township Police Facebook page, Bingen Road at Friedensville Road has reopened to traffic after the water main break.
However, a boil water advisory announced by Lower Saucon Township remains in effect for some 1,000 customers in the core portion of the Lower Saucon Water Authority system.

According to the boil water advisory from the Lower Saucon Authority, the advisory applies to customers in the central portion of the LSA system: generally bounded by route 378 to the west and Hickory Hill, Bingen, Black River and Colesville roads to the south and east. These customers have account numbers starting with 1, 4, 6, 7 and 8, the boil water advisory said.
The LSA recommends boiling water for 1-3 minutes and letting cool before using or using bottled water. Boiled or bottled water should be used for drinking, making ice, brushing teeth and preparing food until further notice, the LSA said.
