Man Had Butterfly Knife, Baton, Police Say

Hellertown Police say Angel Fabian Ruiz of Bethlehem has been charged with disorderly conduct.

Hellertown Police say a man was charged with disorderly conduct after he was found in possession of a butterfly knife and a collapsible baton in Grist Mill Park.

In a news release, police said Angel Fabian Ruiz, of the 800 block of Fernwood Street, Bethlehem, was the driver of a gray Audi sedan that police observed parked in the park near Walnut Street shortly after 11 p.m. Tuesday.

When Ruiz started to pull away, police stopped him and discovered the weapons, the release indicated.

A passenger in the vehicle was found to be in possession of drug paraphernalia and was arrested on that charge, police also said.

The passenger was identified as Misty Ann Hall of the 600 block of Walnut Street, Easton.
