Drunk Tried to Punch Cabbie in Head, Police Say
Hellertown Police say Christopher Shane Thomas, 38, of the 400 block of Front Street, tried to punch a cab driver in the head in the 1200 block of Main Street Jan. 28.
A Hellertown man was arrested on charges of simple assault, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness Jan. 28, after police say he threatened to assault a cab driver.
In a news release, police identified the man as Christopher Shane Thomas, 38, of the 400 block of Front Street, Hellertown, and said he also attempted to punch the cabbie in the head.
Police said the alleged incident occurred in the 1200 block of Main Street at about 9 p.m.

Thomas was arrested and released following an investigation, authorities added.
