A map that displays 2010 U.S. Census data about median household income reveals some distinctions between north and south Hellertown, and eastern and western Lower Saucon Township.
According to the map—which divides Hellertown into two zones along an east-west axis composed of Water, Main and Durham streets—the median income in north Hellertown is $52,105 as of 2010, while the median income in south Hellertown is $62,344.
A similar divide exists in Lower Saucon Township, where the more affluent western part of the township has a median household income of $88,010. North and east of Leithsville Road (Route 412), the median income is $73,138.
The highest median household incomes in the Lehigh Valley are in eastern Upper Macungie Township, according to the map data, where they are over $100,000.
