Margaret E. 'Peggy' Fluck, 88, Was Past President of LSTHS [Obituary]
Margaret E. 'Peggy' Fluck of Lower Saucon Township died Monday, April 29, 2013. A past president of the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society, she was instrumental in the restoration of the Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse.
Margaret E. "Peggy" Fluck, 88, of Lower Saucon Township died Monday, April 29, 2013 at the VNA Hospice House of St. Luke’s, Lower Saucon Township. She was the wife of the late Charles H.A. Fluck, who died May 20, 1996. She was born in Hellertown on May 18, 1924 to the late George J. Sr. and Ella (Litz) Ringhoffer. She worked in Cadet nurses' training during wartime, earning an RN degree from Temple and later a B.S. from East Stroudsburg University. Peggy was a school nurse in the Bethlehem Area and Saucon Valley school districts until retiring. She had also worked at St. Luke's Hospital, Fountain Hill, and in private duty nursing. Peggy was a member of The First Presbyterian Church, Bethlehem. She was also a member and past president of the Lower Saucon Township Historical Society, and was instrumental in the restoration of the Lutz-Franklin Schoolhouse and securing its place on the national registry.

Loving daughters: Margaret S. wife of Timothy J. McCoy of Cocoa, Fla., Carol A. Tavormina of Hellertown, Cynthia R. wife of Daniel J. Sterner of Hellertown, Jacque L. wife of Timothy J. Sell of Springfield; siblings: Rose Marie Wagner of Hellertown, Geraldine A. wife of Robert Mudri of Missoula, Mont.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandson. She was predeceased by son-in-law: Emanuele "Manny" Tavormina, who died Dec. 2, 2003; siblings: George L. Ringhoffer Jr., John J. Ringhoffer and Ella M. Kingston.

SERVICE
Family and friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 1, 2013 at the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., 326 Main St., Hellertown, and 11:30 a.m. to 12 noon Thursday at The First Presbyterian Church, 2344 Center St., Bethlehem. The Thursday morning calling hour will be followed by the service at noon. The interment will conclude services at Bethlehem Memorial Park.
