Margaret J. Beers, 81, Worked at Scotty's Fashions [Obituary]

Margaret J. Beers, 81, of Hellertown, formerly of Palmerton, died Thursday, Oct. 17, 2013 at St. Luke’s University Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was born in Kunkletown on June 8, 1932, to the late Arthur and Esther (Borger) Beers. Margaret worked at the former Scotty’s Fashions in Little Gap as a presser for 46 years until retiring in 1998. She was a member of St. Luke’s Old Williams Lutheran Church, Hellertown.

SURVIVORS

Niece: Linda M. Torkos; great nephew: Kristopher A. Torkos; great niece: Stacie Torkos wife of Arthur Sauerwine Jr.; great-great niece: Kiersten N. Torkos all of Hellertown; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings: Leon, Helen Shupp and Lorraine Beers.

SERVICE

Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21, 2013 at the Jerusalem Lutheran Cemetery, Towamensing Township. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
