Movie, Concert in the Park: This Week in Saucon Valley

Highlights of the week ahead in Saucon Valley will be a free movie and a free concert in Hellertown's Dimmick Park.

Monday, Aug. 5

7 p.m., Hellertown Borough Council meeting, Borough Hall, 685 Main St., Hellertown

Tuesday, Aug. 6

6 to 10 p.m., Quakertown Fire Department Carnival opens
, 4th and Mill streets, Quakertown. The carnival continues nightly from 6 to 10 p.m. through Friday. Saturday it will be open from 3 to 10 p.m. One-price ride specials will be offered Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. Also enjoy food, games and live entertainment.

8 p.m., Trivia Night, Braveheart Highland Pub & Restaurant, 430 Main St., Hellertown

Friday, Aug. 9

7 p.m. (dusk), Movie in the Park, "All Dogs Go to Heaven" (1989), Dimmick Park, Constitution Avenue and Durham Street, Hellertown. Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Refreshments available. Free. Sponsored by the Saucon Valley Business & Friends Association.

Sunday, Aug. 11

5:30 p.m., Second Sunday Concert in Dimmick Park, Constitution Avenue and Durham Street, Hellertown. Preshow featuring KeyStone A Cappella, Main Act featuring Philly Funk Authority. Sponsored by the Hellertown Enhancement Project (HEP). Bring your own blankets or lawn chairs for seating. Refreshments available. Free.
