New Local Coalition Forming, Kick-Off Meeting Planned

A new community coalition is being formed by the heads of various local organizations, Hellertown-Lower Saucon Chamber of Commerce Bob Knauss announced Sept. 27 at a breakfast chamber meeting.

The Saucon Valley Community Coalition's kick-off meeting will be held Thursday, Oct. 25 from 5-7pm at Hellertown Borough Hall, where it will be hosted by the chamber.

The group's goal is "to provide an opportunity for community groups to share their annual plans and events for 2013, to collaborate and determine how we can help each other," a flyer about the kick-off meeting stated.

The event is free to attend and open to the public, although anyone planning to attend should RSVP by registering online at www.lehighvalleychamber.org contacting Mary Himmelberger at maryh@lehighvalleychamber.org by Friday, Oct. 19.

H'ors d'oeuvres for the kick-off meeting will be provided by Hellertown's Sagra Bistro, according to the flyer.
