Obituary: Florence S. Sharer, 75, of Lehigh Township

Florence S. Sharer, 75, of Lehigh Township, died Aug. 6, 2012 in her residence. She was the wife of Henry M. Sharer, with whom she shared 39 years of marriage this past April. She was born in Lower Saucon Township on Jan. 30, 1937 to late John Appel Stephens and Ella E. (Siegfried). She was a Licensed Practical Nurse at Gracedale Nursing Home for 25 years. Florence was a devoted foster parent for 20 years, fostering nearly 100 children.

Survivors:

In addition to her husband, children: Louise Mindler wife of Paul of Catasauqua, Dale Sell of Slatington, Brenda Saras wife of David of Zionsville, LeRoy Sell of Center Valley, Daniel Sell of Slatington, Scott Sharer of Walnutport; stepdaughters: Diane Dubois wife of Craig of Atlanta, Ga. and Connie Reichard wife of Rick of Bethlehem Township; siblings: Evelyn Ryan, Doris Holley, Dolores Hassick; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Florence was predeceased by brothers: John, LeRoy and Charles Stephens and Daniel Eisenhart; and a sister: Alice Wagner. 

Service:

Family and friends are invited to call from 10 to 11am Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at the , 326 Main St., Hellertown. The calling hour will be followed by the service at 11am. The interment will conclude services at Cedar Hill Memorial Park. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
