Obituary: Joan H. Bergstresser, 79, of Palmer Township

Joan H. Bergstresser, 79, of Palmer Township died Thursday, Dec. 13, 2012 at Moravian Hall Square, Nazareth. She was the wife of the late Lee R. Bergstresser, who died Feb. 16, 2007. She was born in Philadelphia on Jan. 26, 1933 to the late Clifford and Jean (Rue) Hudson. Joan was a member of Palmer Moravian Church, where she was a past Sacristan. She graduated from the University of North Carolina, earning a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics in 1956. She was a Bronze Life Master from the American Contract Bridge League, and served on the Easton Area Public School Board from 1977-1983. Joan enjoyed many activities with her contemporaries.

SURVIVORS

Loving children: Cliff P. and his wife M.J. of Damascus, Md., Gary R. and his wife Janet of Richfield, N.C., Lisa R. wife of Craig Wilcox of Easton, Lauren A. wife of Jeffrey Sysko of Easton; siblings: Bebe Dixon of Morehead City, N.C., Robert and his wife Mary of Mebane, N.C.; nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by a brother, Kenneth.

SERVICE

Family and friends are invited to a memorial service at 11:30am Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at Palmer Moravian Church, 2901 John St., Easton. There will be no calling hours.
