Mark Allen Niemkiewicz, 53, of Coopersburg, passed away June 26, 2012.

Mark Allen Niemkiewicz, 53, of Coopersburg, passed away June 26, 2012 at , Lower Saucon Township, surrounded by family. He was a loving father and devoted husband. Born Dec. 11, 1958 in Milwaukee, Wis. to Helen (Piorko) and I. John Niemkiewicz, Mark grew up in Wilmington, Del. and attended Concord H.S. He graduated from the University of Delaware in 1981 with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and earned his Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Villanova University in 1988. Mark began his career at Leeds and Northrup in North Wales and worked there until 1986. He spent the rest of his career at Air Products in Allentown, undertaking a variety of challenging positions. He was proud of many career accomplishments and achievements. Mark had many interests and always made close friends along the way. He enjoyed camping trips, yearly trips to Ocean City, Md. and the cabin in Ely, Minn. with family, restoring pinball machines, Galaxie automobiles, and car shows. He loved playing ice hockey with the "geezers," playing harmonica and jamming with friends. He was a life-long Philadelphia sports fan, attending many games. Mark leaves behind his wife Marie of 27 years and three wonderful sons, Kyle, Alec and Luke. He is also survived by his parents, brothers John and Evan, sisters Andrea and Mary Beth, and many nephews, nieces and in-laws.
Service:
A service for the celebration of his life will be held at 11am Saturday June 30, 2012 at Friedens Lutheran Church, 2151 Saucon Valley Road, Center Valley. There will be no calling hours. is handling the arrangements. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com.
