Obituary: Ruth T. Kaufman, 94, Formerly of Bethlehem

Ruth T. Kaufman, 94, formerly of Bethlehem, died Friday, Dec. 21, 2012 at Phoebe Home, Allentown. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Schmuk (died Oct. 1966). She was born in Bethlehem on Dec. 31, 1917 to the late John J. and Mary M. (Ruth) Kaufman. She graduated from Philadelphia General Hospital with an RN degree. Ruth worked at Allentown State Hospital as an RN Supervisor on the 3-11 shift for 10 years until her retirement. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church, Bethlehem. 

SURVIVORS

Loving daughter: Judy T. Ruth of Bethlehem, granddaughter: Rebekah A.T. Ruth. She was predeceased by her sister, Kathryn Laudenslager.

SERVICE

An entombment service will be held at 1pm Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012 at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, 1700 Airport Road, Allentown. Online expressions of sympathy can be recorded at www.heintzelmancares.com. Arrangements are by the Heintzelman Funeral Home Inc., Hellertown.
