PennDOT: Litter Pick-Up Planned Along Rt. 412

PennDOT maintenance crews will mow grass and pick up litter along Route 412 in Hellertown and Bethlehem this week, the state agency announced Friday.

As part of a highway beautification effort, crews will remove litter from the road's shoulders between Cherry Lane in the borough and Silvex Road in the city, PennDOT said.

The cleanup will continue through Friday, from 9am to 3pm.

Motorists are advised to use caution while driving through the work zone, which is near the Route 412 on- and off-ramps to I-78.

Drivers should also "be alert for slow moving vehicles entering or exiting the travel lanes," PennDOT said.
