Police: Donation Jar Stolen from Bechdolt's
Lower Saucon Police say a donation jar containing $100, silver pieces, $400 in cash and other items were stolen from Bechdolt's Orchard on Leithsville Road early Saturday.

UPDATE: Bechdolt's is offering a $500 reward for the return of the scooter and the arrest of those responsible for the burglary, according to a story published by the Express-Times. The newspaper also reports that hundreds of dollars in raffle ticket sales was discovered missing from the store, and that the money in the donation jar was for a local animal shelter.
Lower Saucon Township Police announced Tuesday that they are investigating an Aug. 18 burglary at , 2209 Leithsville Road.
Police said in a press release that early Saturday "unknown actors entered the store and stole a lime green Genuine Buddy scooter, (a) helmet, $400 cash, $35-$40 worth of silver pieces and (a) donation jar containing $100."

The break-in may have occurred between 1:30 and 2am, police said.
It was just last month that police announced the theft of a donation jar from the restaurant in Lower Saucon Township.
