Police: Student Threatened to 'Blow the School Up'

Lower Saucon Township police say a 17-year-old Saucon Valley High School student threatened to blow the school up in a post on the social media website Facebook.

In the wake of another recent incident that allegedly involved threats made by students using the social media website Facebook, Lower Saucon Township police say a 17-year-old male student at Saucon Valley High School has been charged with disorderly conduct for allegedly threatening to "blow the school up" in Facebook posts.

Police said in a press release Friday that they responded to the high school on Thursday, Feb. 16 at 12:59pm, after it was reported that "concerning threats" had been posted on Facebook.

The 17-year-old is charged as a juvenile, police said.
