Police: Man and Juvenile Rode Motorized Vehicles on Trail

Lower Saucon Township Police say a local man and a 17-year-old juvenile were cited for operating motorized vehicles on the Saucon Rail Trail Oct. 8.

A Lower Saucon Township man and a 17-year-old juvenile were cited for operating motorized vehicles on the Saucon Rail Trail Oct. 8, township police announced in a press release Tuesday.

Police said Kenneth Pietrzak, of the 2000 block of Susan Lane, and the juvenile were apprehended at 7:16pm.

The use of motorized vehicles is prohibited on the trail, and a Hellertown resident has recently spoken to council and borough police about violations that have reportedly occurred near the trail's north end.

Lee Weidner has said that residents and neighbors should report any violations they witness on the trail to local authorities.
