Police: Township Man Smacked Wife 'Upside the Head'

A Lower Saucon Township man has been charged with DUI and harassment after allegedly attacking his wife Feb. 13, said in a press release Monday.

According to police, Keith D. Weaver, 31, of the 2000 block of Scenic View Lane, pushed 20-year-old Amber Weaver, "smacked her upside the head, and grabbed her by the throat before leaving the scene in his vehicle while intoxicated."

Police said the incident occurred at 4:58am at the Weavers' apartment.

Weaver had left the area by the time officers responded to a report of the disturbance, but he returned while they were at the scene and was subsequently arrested, police said.

Keith Weaver's blood alcohol content was determined to be .21 percent, they added.
