Reading Drive Mailbox Damaged in Hit-and-Run, Police Say

Lower Saucon Township Police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that damaged a mailbox in the 1700 block of Reading Drive.

In a news release, police said the heavy metal post on which the mailbox was mounted was bent, and a "sizable piece of concrete (was pulled) from the ground."

"The vehicle then fled the scene toward Spring Valley Road," police said.

The accident happened Aug. 18 at about 9:30 p.m., they added.
