Saucon Valley Relay for Life Announces Upcoming Events

Supporters of the local cancer charity have many activities and fundraisers planned through the spring. The events are precursors to the annual Relay, which will be held May 19-20 in Hellertown's Dimmick Park.

The Downtown Bethlehem Association's Shop for a Cause Weekend (SFAC) will be happening in Bethlehem Feb. 17-19. Charities involved in Shop for a Cause will market the fundraising event to their staff, supporters and members, who will be encouraged to shop in the city's two downtowns to support their charity. Participating businesses will give 10 percent of proceeds back to the charity on each purchase. For example, if a supporter spends $100 in one location, and $100 in another location, their cause will receive two separate checks for $10. All friends and family need to do is bring a form with them, denoting which cause they are shopping for. In the event of inclement weather, the event will be held Feb. 24-26. A list of participating retailers is available online.
