Saucon Valley Restaurant Week Called a 'Success'

The July event was organized by Hellertown's Borough Business Revitalization Program.

The inaugural Saucon Valley Restaurant Week that was held in late July has been called "a success" by the Hellertown Borough Business Revitalization Program, which organized it.

The goal of restaurant week was to encourage area residents to try local eateries, with the hope that they will return throughout the year.

And apparently that goal was accomplished, at least to some degree.

A visitor quoted in a Sept. 10 press release from the HBBRP said that during restaurant week, "We tried a few restaurants that we would not have normally gone to, and we were impressed by all of them. We have been to (one of the participating restaurants) three more times since then."

The HBBRP also announced in the release that dates for a 2013 Saucon Valley Restaurant Week have been scheduled.
