SVHS Dance Team Excited to Begin Second Season

Members of the recently attended summer camp, and the team is very excited to soon begin its second season, coach Tonya Rodriguez reported.

The team attended Universal Dance Association (UDA) summer camp July 12-15 at Hofstra University, where each dancer was individually evaluated on two routines.

"The team had four straight days of intensive technique classes in jazz, hip hop, pom, team building, strength and conditioning," Rodriguez said. "The girls worked (closely) with an amazing group of the nation's top dancers, hand picked from colleges across the country."

"I am proud to say SVHS came home with numerous superior and excellent ribbons," she added. "The team was also awarded with the '110% Award' for their dancing throughout the camp."
