On July 16, Hellertown Borough Council voted unanimously to double daily admission rates to the Hellertown Pool, effective Saturday, July 21, 2012. Daily admission for local and non-local residents will increase from $5 to $10 for adults.

As of noon Saturday, adults will be charged $10 for a one-day Hellertown Pool pass and children will be charged $8 for a one-day pool pass.
Current season pass-holders will not be affected by the revised fee structure.

Council said it decided to double rates to help bring the Hellertown Pool's daily rates into alignment with those of other nearby public pools, such as Quakertown.
It plans to revisit the subject of pool admission rates and rules at the close of the 2012 swim season.
